This is a photograph of Richard E Grant with his wife/woman/whatever shopping on Portobello Market. I think the point of being a pap is to sell your pictures to the papers which I don’t really have any intention of doing…so why take it in the first place? Admittedly slightly for the thrill & to see if I can get away with it without them knowing but also because “Withnail and I” was a defining movie for me, a source of endless joy and happiness…and I just couldn’t get over how friggin miserable he looked. Admittedly he was with a woman who had exactly the same expression so maybe there’s your answer. I guess it shows that it doesn’t matter who you are, its who you’re with that counts.

Ok, I might need help. I am basically stalking Paul Weller. This is now our third encounter ( see #MYLDN 227 & MYLDN 171) This was probably my most stalky so far as actually followed him (20 paces back, collar up, just like in da movies) quite a way down Portobello Road to get a picture. The worst thing is every time I see him now I will feel compelled to get a photo which means its probably just a matter of time before the authorities or his fists get involved…even though he’s getting on a bit he still looks Well ‘ard!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a Pink Floyd album cover?  No, its a….drone! Flying above the left chimney. The first one I’ve ever seen in the flesh so to speak. I was so surprised to see it I shouted out to everyone on the train I was on..”Look! A drone!”…which was a little embarrassing. I guess to see this automated mechanoid hurtling through the sky made me feel like the scary future where robots take over the world had actually arrived. Oh, well, guess we’ve had a good run…its not like they’re gonna do a worse job…

London’s health and safety measures for 2014 seem a tad excessive…
