An abandoned wheelchair? Had someone just got up and walked off? Had a miracle just occurred? The picture is all bleached out because my camera was accidentally set to a high exposure….or was it?? They say the camera never lies. Had it captured the remains of some divine presence, still bathing the area in heavenly light? Probably not, but if you see someone walking around as if for the first time, might be worth asking exactly how they got there…

I stopped to take a picture because the stern-looking woman looked as still and expressionless as the mannequins behind her. I was wearing a hoodie as it was freezing and I think she thought I was going to storm the store so she ever so gently locked the door and positioned herself in front of it. To her I was street scum and walking down the ridiculously ostentatious Sloane Street I kind of felt like one. Maybe she thought I was a crim casing the joint. I felt like saying..do you think there is anything in your poncy store that I would actually want? Designer glitz ain’t for everyone dah-ling…

This is a picture of probably the most unromantic (and definitely the most minging) thing I could upload today…a 2nd hand blow up doll! It was for sale on Portobello market and has to easily rate at the very top of a list of items no-one should ever buy used! I mean, who on earth would want a previously owned sex toy? I know you have to be pretty desperate to use one in the first place, but previously used? Talk about sloppy seconds…eeugggh! And so with that I wish you all a very icky Happy Valentines…x
