I posted the above shot back way back in dec 2013 but it still remains my favourite festive shot. It also appears in MYLDNBK. Not sure if I mentioned I have a book out or not (hehe or rather ho ho) but thought I would give it one final push as apparently there is this national event coming up where you buy gifts for people…can’t quite remember the name of it …Consumeristmas or something like that…
Incredibly this Steel Drum Santa is still out on Portobello Rd. The shot below was taken a couple of days ago. He’s lost his fag puffing mate but he’s gained a beard and still going strong, although he does appear to have somewhat lost his festive cheer. which is maybe more a statement on these times. Even Santa’s feelin it.
I know, its not quite over but I am wrapping up for the year as off to bury my head in the sand and hope it all goes away which apparently is a really effective way of dealing with things. Tried and tested. That aside I would just like to wish you all happy holidays and a happy new year…tanks for tuning in and see you in 2020!
